This is Continuation Body, a three-panel work painted on commission for a client in Chicago.

In writing about the process I found myself stretching beyond the scope of the paintings themselves in order to illuminate the context and themes that called them into existence. If you’re in the mood for a meditation on what happens when we die, the responsibility of grieving, the medicine of sunrise, the student-teacher relationship, and the glory of Keanu Reeves, please enjoy the read.

Currently hard at work on my second book.

I have the opportunity to publish a second book with FTBTIA, formerly Candor Arts, the good people who first published me in 2014. My first book is a contemplative memoir about my experience with mental health and yoga practice called Wind Through Quiet Tensions. The second book is a series of illuminated meditations on grief, stigma, perception, and study. It’s in the early going, and you can follow my process over at Patreon.
